My Career as a Super Bowl Roadie for Bruce Springsteen

Super Bowl XLIII LogoImage via Wikipedia I am a confirmed volunteer roadie for Bruce Springsteen at the 2009 Super Bowl in Tampa!

I got my "official" email last night from Super Bowl Productions. I am thrilled to have been selected for this opportunity!

Hello Stage Crew Volunteers!

Show plans are coming along nicely and we're getting excited, as we trust you are!

We have some important announcements to pass along.

1. We have added an orientation for all Pregame and Halftime Show Stage Crew Volunteers:

Wednesday, December 10, 2008

University of Tampa - Martinez Sports Center

6:30pm check-in, 7:00pm orientation presentation

Click the link below (or copy and paste link into your web browser) for directions and parking information:

2. The schedules for both the Pregame and Halftime Stage Crews have been updated. Please check the schedule for the crew that you have volunteered for and make sure you can make the commitment for ALL rehearsals. If you find you are no longer able to make the commitment, please let us know and we'll remove you from our volunteer list.

3. Please click the link below, download, print, and sign the 5 page liability waiver packet. We'll be collecting the 5 signed pages at our orientation. NOTE: If you are not able to print the documents, we'll have copies at the orientation for you.

4. We have both Pregame and Halftime Stage Crews filled at this time. We are still accepting application forms on the website, but for our waiting list only. This message is only being sent to you, the confirmed volunteers. As previously mentioned, should we have more volunteers attend our orientation session than we will require for the crew(s), we will use your time/date stamp of your original on-line application to determine eligibility.

Thanks! We look forward to meeting you in December!

I'll be blogging about the experience as I "endure" it next year! Go Bucs!
