Staying out of a jam

Laurie at Punk Rock HR says Walmart is a good topic to get traffic on your blog. Kris Dunn at Hr Capitalist says EFCA is always a big traffic builder.

I'm not as interested in driving traffic to my blog as I am in sharing information and ideas, but Walmart and EFCA are two topics that go together like peanut butter and jelly.

So, here is the subject matter of the post.

I have attached a 4 minute video of a "peaceful labor protest" which took place in California in May 2009. My challenge to you, watch the video and then answer:

  1. Are you ready to deal with this type of situation in your business?
  2. Have you ever seen this level of action as an HR professional?
  3. Do people REALLY hate Walmart???

PS - there were several arrests following this protest that resulted from a fight that broke out after a non-Walmart employee ran the picket line, trying to get to work so he would not lose his job.
