Working in Paradise or just Tampa Bay - 2008 Best Places to Work in Tampa Bay

Living in Florida, aka Paradise, is the dream of many, but often doesn't turn out exactly as people, myself included, foresee when they move here. Since I have moved to Florida, I have been a road warrior, a consultant, worked with a small business, a business strategist, and currently, work with one of the largest employers in the Florida. Coming from the North, I have found work ethic to be different, industry pay varies significantly, and far more opportunity to do different things than I had expected. And I have just scratched the surface!

The Tampa Bay Business Journal ( a great resource if you are in the Tampa Bay area!) has recently named their list of Best Places to Work for 2008, along with their sponsors Quantum Market Research, http://www.qmrinc.com/Home/bestplaces/ Brighthouse Networks, and Audio Visual Support Services, Inc.

The list in this case is different than Fortune, looking at Nearly Big employers (10-25 employees), Big employers (25-50 employees) and Bigger (50-100, and Biggest (101 and above) which helps to illustrate the scope of companies that operate in the Tampa Bay area, not super large for the most part.
